Thankamma Ilapogu (57) passed away Sunday, February 4, 2006 surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Thankamma is most remembered for her generosity, love and kindness to all. She was a dedicated nurse since 1966. In 1977, Thankamma opened and operated a family-owned mental health facility in Abbotsford, BC.
Thankamma is survived by her loving husband Devadas and devoted children and family: Bobby, Tisha, Jeevan; Rubyna, Scott (Tatlock); and Sunil and Natalie.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 10, 2006 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, Abbotsford.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Abbotsford Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to ADRA or the Yohannan Scholarship Memorial Fund through Henderson’s.
