Sylvia STARR-JOHNSON

Sylvia, a pioneer of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully at the Worthington Pavilion after a battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents Nellie and Perry Starr, her first husband Robert Jones, second husband Edwin Johnson, and son Perry Jones. She is survived by and sadly missed by her daughter Judy Luchak and husband Larry, their three daughters and spouses seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sylvia was famous for moving, she always called Abbotsford her home. Well known for her love of entertaining by playing the piano and organ, story-telling and spending time at the seniors center and playing crib.

A memorial tea will be held at Abbotsford Senior Drop-in Centre, 33889 Essendene Ave. from 2:30 - 4:30 pm, Monday, Oct. 15.
