Sylvia Evelyn, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2007 at Abbotsford B.C.
Though born in Transcona, M.B, she was raised in Smithers, B.C. Sylvia was predeceased by her sisters Ada Blanche and Lucille Rose and is survived by her brother Peter Mayer of Kamloops; her niece Maureen Savard and her children Shannon, Patrick and Michael. She was a registered nurse who served for many years in Palo Alto, California until her retirement. She and her long time friend Eileen spent their retirement years traveling the world together. A devout Catholic, Sylvia attended for many years at St. Anne’s Parish in Abbotsford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 24 at St. Anne’s Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford with Reverend James Hughes, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Hazelwood Cemetery.
