Gone to Glory
Stan Betts passed away peacefully into the presence of his Saviour on the evening of July 20, 2009. Stan was born November 4, 1931 in Saskatchewan and was raised in Edmonton where he worked delivering telegraphs. At age 27 he was faced with a life changing experience, which led him to make his most important decision. He gave his life to Christ and began his journey following Jesus. He met the love of his life Myrna Peterson and was married September 11, 1965 in Dawson Creek. Stan loved football, chess and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by his loving wife Myrna, his children Holly (Rod), Ruth (Alex), and Mark (Fiona). Grandchildren Isaiah and Rebecca, Kendra, Seth & Melissa, Madeleine & Emma, his sister Norma and many other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at Seven Oaks Alliance Church on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.
