Shirley Anne, born August 23, 1940 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, passed into the presence of her Lord Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10:55 a.m. in Abbotsford.
Shirley was predeceased by her father Isaac in 1958 and is survived by her loving mother Annie; sister Sharon; brother-in-law Jack and friends.
After graduation in 1959 Shirley began work at Matsqui Municipality. After 7 years she left to join CP Air, where she retired from in 2001.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Winner and a special thanks to all the staff who were involved with Shirl's care at The Cottage for their kindness, concern and TLC to Shirl and family during her valiant battle with cancer.
A service will be held Saturday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. from Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirl's memory towards the completion of the "Quiet Room" at the Cottage Pavilion, MSA Hospital, 2179 McCallum Rd., Abbotsford, V2S 3P1, Attn: Susan Frizzo or a charity caring for wildlife/animals would be appreciated.
