Sarah Cathrine Langdon-Davies (nee Lee), 98 yrs., of Abbotsford,
B.C. passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Maplewood House Abbotsford.
Born to parents James and Edith Lee in the family home at Langley Prairie, B.C. (now Murrayville) on August 15, 1914, Sarah was a faith-filled, loving person who enriched the lives
of all those who were blessed to know her. She attended school in Murrayville up to eighth grade and then went on to Langley High for her last 3 years after which she travelled to Toronto, Ontario where she graduated from Secretarial School. She then returned to B.C. and worked for B.C. Electric in Vancouver, meeting her husband Walter there and beginning their family. She was predeceased by her oldest son Gordon and granddaughter Crystal, as well as 10 siblings, Hubert, Samuel, William, Kathleen, Dorothy, Norman, Edith, Richard, Gordon and Helen. Sarah is survived by sons David (Connie) Langdon-Davies and Terry Langdon-Davies, and daughter Barbara Sikora, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. Also survived by the youngest of the 12
Lee children Jessie Middleton of Abbotsford and many loving extended family members. Sarah was affectionately known as “Sally” to friends and was someone who always took the time to enjoy the small pleasures
in life and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Sarah enjoyed greatly her flowers and gardening. She also loved her Church and was a member of the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church of Abbotsford ever since
moving to Abbotsford with her family in 1948. She was also a dedicated member of the Order of Eastern Star for many
years attaining the position of Worthy Matron. Sarah’s funeral will take place at St. Matthew’s Church on Friday, June 14 at 1 pm with reception and refreshments to follow at the church.
