Samuel Roland, born November 11, 1926 at Edmonton, Alberta and passed away on March 4, 2007 at The Cottage Extended Care facility in Abbotsford, BC. Sam was 80 years of age. He was predeceased by his father Samuel; his son Jeffrey; his mother Helena and his first wife Charmaine. Sam is survived by his daughter Kari (Graeme) Hutchison; his son Timothy Wright; daughter Kimberly (Roy) Hissink; son Kevin (Linda) Wright; his sisters Alice and Carol; his second wife Stephanie; his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He will also be missed by extended family and many dear friends.
Sam was a career Warrant Officer with Army Medical Corps; Royal Canadian Army. He served for many years as Personnel Manager at Langley Memorial Hospital and at Peace Arch Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 9, 2007 in the chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 27555 - 31st Ave., Aldergrove, BC, followÂed by interment at Maclure Road Cemetery in Abbotsford.
