1923 - 2004
Samuel Megli was born February 24, 1923 near Linden, Alberta and passed away December 8, 2004.
In 1951 he married Helen Klassen. They farmed in the Linden community. Helen died suddenly in January 1981. In August 1982, Sam married Daisy Martens of Abbotsford, B.C. In 1989 they moved to Abbotsford.
Samuel was predeceased by his son Jeffrey and daughter Teresa. He is survived by his wife Daisy Martens Megli, and three of his children: Brian Megli and his wife Betty of Deep River, Ontario; Katharina Megli and her husband John Wills of Cambridge England; Luci Richard and her husband Robert of Calgary, Alberta. There are five grandchildren; Laura and Leona Megli, Richard and Charles Gallagher and Teresa Richard.
Memorial services will be held at Bakerview M.B. Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC. on Sunday December 12 at 2:00 pm, and at Linden M.B. Church, Linden, AB on Monday, December 13 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to either the Canadian Bible Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
