Roy Edward Bird passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Christine Morrison Hospice at the age of 54 years. He died after a battle with lung cancer due to asbestos. Roy will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Christa; his children Tracy (Peter) and Ryan (Christine); grandchildren Logan and Savannah; brother John (Karen); sister Debbie; nephews Shaun, Brian, Brandon, Trevor and Derek; his parents Olive and Dennis; and his parents-in-law Hans and Herta Seewald. Roy was a member of the Mission Isshin Ryu Karate Club for many years, and he retired as a foreman at Western Titanium. He was a wonderful friend, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, an artist, and he enjoyed his life to its fullest. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, July 5, 2006.
