Ronald WIEBE

January 21, 2011

WIEBE, Ronald George of Bellingham Washington passed away January 21, 2011 at his home. Born to Ben and Margaret Wiebe August 31, 1957 in Langley BC, Ron grew up on the family farm in Otter where he learned the value of doing chores. Ron married Brenda Erbacher on August 1st, 1975 and together they brought daughters Talia Elise and Tara Janelle into the world in 1984 and 1987. Ron was the co-owner of Diamond Designs Jewelry in Abbotsford, BC, and finished his career as a registered clinical counsellor. Ron's love of classic vintage cars led him to be an active participant in the Coastal Classic Chevys Car Club, where he met and gained lifelong friends throughout the years. In 1999, he traveled through Africa, Ukraine, and Eastern Germany with ICM consulting for long distance learning programs for pastors. Ron moved to Bellingham, WA in 2005 and married Debi Anderson. They shared an interest in restoring and travelling in vintage Airstream travel trailers. His impeccable sense of humor was put to good use performing with a local improv comedy group. His dry sarcasm, quirky jokes and witty retorts will be missed. Ron leaves behind his wife Debi, daughters Talia (Liam) and Tara, sister Judy, brothers Tom (Marion), Don, and twin brother Reg (Julie), numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's name to the Whatcom County Hospice (Bellingham Washington), or the Canadian Cancer Association. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at 2pm at Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway, Bellingham, Washington.
