HEINRICHS, Robert
Robert (Bob) G. Heinrichs, age 72 of Sumas, was taken to be with his Heavenly Father at OHSU Hospital in Portland, Oregon on Friday, July 17, 2009. The son of Franz & Helen (Janssen) Heinrichs, he was born in Waldheim, Saskatchewan on March 9, 1937, and grew up in Leduc, Alberta where he graduated from high school and married Judith Bridenstine on July 4, 1964. He and Judy moved to Whatcom County in 1991 from Prince George, BC. An auto repair technician, Bob was employed by a number of Ford dealerships during his forty year career, the last eight at Pioneer Ford in Lynden. He had attended Word of Life Church in Lynden and recently Sumas Christian Reformed Church. Bob loved the Lord and his family above all. He enjoyed music, vehicle restoration and gardening. Mr. Heinrichs is survived by his wife Judy, children Cynthia and husband Kyle Nawrot and their children Stephanie, Jacqueline, Chantelle, Robert and Breanna of Abbotsford, BC., Thaddeus and wife Seema Heinrichs of Calgary, Alberta and Rebecca and husband Jack Burton and their children Mitchell and Alexander of LaCenter, WA. He is also survived by four sisters, two brothers and other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 22, at 2:00 pm in Sumas Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Ben DeRegt officiating. Burial followed in Sumas Cemetery.
