June 29, 1946 - December 6, 2018
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Gordon Bowles on December 6, 2018.
Dad was born in Winnipeg with his twin brother David on June 29, 1946. Soon after the family moved to the lower mainland of BC, eventually settling in Port Kells.
This is where Robert met Rayna, the love of his life and together they travelled north to begin what would be a 32 year career with BC Hydro and raise their family. Dad loved to fish and hunt, spending as much time as he could exploring the backroads, lakes and ocean inlets of northern BC. He enjoyed beachcombing, woodworking, carving, curling and golf.
They settled over the years in Williams Lake, Masset, Terrace, White Rock and finally Abbotsford. Dad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coworker and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Rayna, sons Allan (Terri) and Kelly (Kari), brother David (Sharon), grandchildren Paige, Meghan, Colby and Darrah.
He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Abbotsford General Hospital Cancer Center.
