Richard Arthur “Dick” Hay passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer at the Chilliwack General Hospital on Sept. 24, 2004. He was born on Nov. 2, 1954 at New Westminster, B.C.
Richard Hay was a loving husband, father, friend of many and an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa of 20 years and their children Jessica, Kelly and Maggie, two sisters Heather (Harold) Underhill and Sherry (Bob) Crocker; three brothers: Larry (Monika) Hay, Ted (Wendy) Hay and Don (Lynn) Hay and his mother and father in-laws’ parents Brian (Donna) Harvey and Ede and Gunnar Jonsson. He is also survived by sister and brother in-laws Dale, Colin (Sharon) and George, also by numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends. He was predeceased by his sister Donna and parents John and Linda.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 at 5:00 pm at Minter Gardens off Yale Road East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
