ROSS

Rheta Bernice Ross, born July 16, 1919 in Carberry, Manitoba. It is with great sadness that the family of Rheta Bernice Ross announces her passing, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the age of 88.

Mom, Gramma Ross and Rheta to her many friends, was loved deeply by all. Rheta was always ready with a happy thought and a smile that would make you forget all your woes, and everyone knew she always had to frame her infectious smile with of course her lipstick. Rheta never knew a stranger and thought the best of every human life and in return she had many friends who thought the same of her. Making newborn babies their caps to leave the hospital with a warm head, and keeping the family warm with her many blankets brought her much joy - even with her loss of vision in one eye, this was an important job to her and she didn't miss a stitch.

Rheta's life was always an adventure from raising her son Allan and daughter Lynn to curling, fishing, gardening and canning goodies, with her late husband Norman Ross along with creating the best feasts on holidays and to the end bringing the holidays to life to those who always dropped by.

Her love always extended beyond the family, manicurist, hairstylist, clerks at the grocery stores, the special waitresses that knew exactly what she liked, all smiled when they saw her. Her motto was - what goes around comes around - that's why everyone loved her so.

Rheta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lynn and Ron Auld of Napa, CA
