Reverend Reuben, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Abbotsford, B.C. He was in his 92nd year. Reuben was an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for 65 years. Reuben and Alice’s ministry began in Saskatchewan where they served congregations in Bagley and Asquith. In British Columbia, they ministered to congregations in Duncan, Lake Cowichan, Richmond, Nelson, Powell River, Mission and Vedder. Following his pastoral ministry, Reuben worked with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as a field representative in Western Canada.

Reuben grew up in a family of seven children on a successful prairie farm, learned how to work hard to build and fix almost anything and always sought the most economical solution to the need of the day. Reuben always trusted his God to provide and always considered the glass half-full. He enjoyed Christian fellowship, loved Christian music and enjoyed playing his violin and singing the traditional hymns.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gary Heffner, the staff and home care providers of Fraser Health Home Care Services and the MSA Hospital, as well as church and family friends for all their loving help and caring assistance during the last months of Reuben’s life.
