Rev. Elliott F. Baker
Rev. Elliott F. Baker passed into the presence of his Lord on April 3rd, 2017 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 77. Elliott was born in Northwest Brook, Newfoundland on June 13, 1939. He entered the ministry in 1962 and Pastored in Newfoundland for many years. In 1982 he and his family moved to BC where he taught for many years at Western Pentecostal Bible College, now known as Summit Pacific College. Following his service at the college, Rev. Baker served on the Pastoral staff of Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly for several years before his retirement. A talented singer and guitarist, he spent a good portion of his retirement years traveling and ministering in music. Elliott leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 53 years, Blanche, two children Kris (Paulette) Baker and Telva (Phil) Merlo, as well as 5 grandchildren; Billy (Christina), Jessica, Jamie, Tyrone and Kristen. Funeral Services will be held at Zion Pentecostal Church in his hometown of Northwest Brook in Newfoundland on April 12th at 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly on April 26th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to DMI Ministries Rev. Elliott Baker Memorial Fund.
