Rena (Rinske) passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the age of 77 after years of struggle with cancer. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Allen, in California by our daughter Amy, her husband Vince, and our grandchildren Sara, Alyssa and Byron. They were as close to her heart as they are distant from us. Joined with us in mind and prayers are her brothers and sisters and our extended families in Holland and in Canada. We gratefully acknowledge them, together with our pastor, friends, church members, doctors and nurses, and to all who stood with us with their loving care during her illness. Her talents and hobbies are displayed in her paintings and embroidery. We will always treasure her art. She enjoyed going for a short ride for a view of the mountains until it became to tiresome. Rena became weak physically but remained strong in spirit. It is our comfort that she was fully assured of her eternal destiny through the cross of Christ, her Lord and her Saviour.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 15 at 11:00am at Gateway Christian Reformed Church on Holland Ave., and will be led by pastor Bert Slofstra.
