Phillip Isherwood Hesketh

There’s a new angel puttering in his work shop in Heaven. Phil was born 1932 in Birtle, Manitoba to Jack and Grace Hesketh. He lived in Manitoba until 1946 when the family relocated to Salmon Arm. After graduation he was working for The CPR and that is where he met a cute little telephone operator named Agnes Boyd. They were wed on November 19, 1953. Phil worked for the CPR for 39 years working in Salmon Arm, Albert Canyon and eventually Abbotsford. After retirement he mainly worked odd jobs and spent many hours helping the family and numerous other people. He was always willing to lend a hand and could do any type of handy work. He especially enjoyed building all kinds of projects in his work shop. Phil was predeceased by his parents Jack and Grace, sisters Joan, Molly, Shirley, Audrey, Vivian and Daphne, brothers Arthur, Bill and Geoffry and grandson Jamie Martens. Survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years Agnes, children Greg (Gayle), Vicki Giesbrecht (Dennis), Trudi Martens (Len) and Tim (Tracey), grandchildren Tyler (Michelle), Levi (Kristy), Micah, Jessi (Kris), Amanda (Kato), Shannon (Matthew), Danica (Dustin), Kayla (Joshua), Lance (Angela), Kyle (Chai), Alyxandria (Scott) and Samantha, great-grandchildren Seven, Emmett, Elijah, Austin, Dakota, Brooke, Tyus, Harper, Beckham, Lydia, Isaiah, Elina, Daniel and Nathan, also many nieces and nephews. Phil lived a wonderful life full of family and friends. He was diagnosed with Alzheimers and slowly declined over the past 10 years. He suffered a massive stroke and went to his maker April 30, 2017. He was then residing at Menno Home. Thank you for the care received there.

Gone, but forever in our hearts and never to be forgotten. We love you Papa!
