Peter Wayne, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord, with his family at his side, on Monday, October 10, 2005. Born September 9, 1910, Peter was 95 years of age.
He is survived by Meta, his loving wife of 60 years. He leaves also his children, Brenda (Don) MacBurney, Dick (Anne) Enns, Ken (Phyllis) Enns, Cathleen (Doug) Parlee and Cindy (Maurice) Rozek; his 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered, also, by his sister, Agnes Schmidt, his sister-in-law, Ingrid Mueller, his nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Peter was very active in the business community in Clearbrook over the years. He was in real estate and insurance, with Enns Agency, the Waterworks District, the Police Commission and Clearbrook Businessmen’s Association. He faithfully attended at Olivet Mennonite Church for many years.
Viewing for family and friends will be from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford, BC. Graveside at South Poplar Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2005 followed by a Memorial Service at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church at 2:30 p.m. For those desiring, donations in Peter’s memory to the M.C.C. would be greatly appreciated.
