Peter - late of Abbotsford, went to be with the Lord, June 22, 2008. Born December 25, 1926 in Russia, one of 12 children; he will be missed by his loving family, wife Gertrude; children Waltrude (Wally) Gortzen, Rudy (Gisela), Carlos (Judy), Alberto (Lucy) and Karin (Gregg) Gordon; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, their families and a large extended family. There will be a viewing Wednesday, June 25 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Wiebe & Jeske Funeral Services, #212-31314 Peardonville Road, Abbotsford, The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. (prior viewing at noon) at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford. Burial will follow at Maclure Road Cemetery, followed by a fellowship luncheon at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church . If friends wish, a donation in Peter's memory to Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission or the Canadian Cancer Society for Prostate Cancer Research would be appreciated.
