Peter – born January 7, 1923 in Orenburg, Russia to Anna and John Block passed away at home in Abbotsford November 18, 2007. He is survived by Agnes, his wife of 60 years; 5 daughters, Carol (Dave) Briltz, Judy (Bill) Baron, Jeanne (Jim) Nichols, Linda (Frank) Krobath and Sandra (Mike) Klassen; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, grandson Doran Hensley, brother David and sister Susie. Pete was a builder and developer by trade and built and operated Block’s Motel in Clearbrook from 1953 – 1969. He enjoyed his early retirement.
A service will be held Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. If friends wish, a donation in Pete’s memory to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
