Perry Ferbus.

Perry Ferbus Mitchell passed away peacefully on April 18, 2005 at age 83 years of age. He was a resident of Heritage Village in Chilliwack. Perry was born November 27, 1921 in Francois Lake, BC. He was a Signalman in the Royal Canadian Corp of Signals during the 2nd World War. Perry married Eileen Maynard Wright on May 13, 1943. They lived many years on Sumas Prairie, running a dairy farm while Perry also worked at ICG Propane, later becoming manager. They retired to their home on the Sechelt waterfront in 1987. Perry and Eileen returned to live in Chilliwack in 2000.

Perry was predeceased by his father Ira Mitchell, his mother Golda Bessie Radley, his step-mother Myrtle Mitchell, and his sons Daniel and Christopher (Kit). Perry is survived by his wife Eileen of Chilliwack; sister-in-law, Jean Gort of Vancouver, half-brother, Wayne Stayner of Sherwood Park, AB, his children, Terry (Lorraine) of Chilliwack, Robin (Larry) Stewart of Abbotsford, Rory (Nancy) Mitchell of Hayden, Idaho; grandchildren Daniel (Clarissa) Mitchell of Chehalis, Catherine (Bryan) Schindle of Chilliwack, James (Kristi) Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Kimberley Stewart, Erin Stewart and Christopher Stewart of Abbotsford, Allison Mitchell of Hayden, Idaho; and great grandchildren, Alaira Stewart and Katelynn Stewart of Abbotsford.

A Memorial gathering is planned for May 15th 2005 from 1:00 — 4:00 pm in the clubhouse at Promontory Lake Estates. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of British Columbia, Suite 600-890 W. Pender Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 1J9. Perry’s family would like to give thanks to the staff at Heritage Village for their care and compassion.
