Uncle Pat passed away peacefully in his Abbotsford home at the age of 83.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews Brian (Dottie); Michael (Pam) and great nieces, Candice, Debra and their families. He is predeceased by his brother Robert, sister in law Sharon, and his parents Pat and Gladys.
Pat spent thirty-five years in classrooms at all levels of the public school system. He went on to serve as president of the Prince George District Teachers' Association, President of the BC Teachers' Federation (1977 - 1978), and President of the Canadian Teachers' Federation (1981 -1982).
Pat also held positions in the Canadian Association of Retired Teachers (ACER-CART) - Director (2003), Vice-President and Regional Director West (2004 - 2005), President (2006 - 2008) and Past President (2008 - 2010).
An honorary lifetime member of the Prince George District Teachers' Association and of the BC Teachers' Federation, Pat was awarded the BCTF's George Fergusson Award for outstanding contribution to education.
He also made a Life Member of the BC Retired Teachers' Association and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Due to COVID19 restrictions, a family only service was held on Dec. 7, 2020.
The family has created a Patrick Brady Facebook memorial page to share and celebrate his life.
Memorial Donations may be made in Pat's name to the RR Smith Foundation.
