Patrick Edward Murphy, loving husband, father, brother and uncle, passed away at home after a valiant battle with cancer of December 30, 2003 with his family by his side. He will be forever missed by his loving wife and best friend, Marie, daughter Kelly, Zach, his brothers Terry, and Lyon, sisters Sheila, Theresa, Doreen, and maureen, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, sister Elizabeth, and brother D'arcy.
Pat was born in Nelson, B.C. on June 21, 1938. As a young man, he was actively involved in sports, music, and community activities.
Prior to moving to Abbotsford in 1980, Pat and Marie lived in the West Kootenays and several northern B.C. communities. Pat was a long time member of the Abbotsford Matsqui Rotary Club.
He will forever be remembered for his many artistic talents, his sense of humor, and the joy he brought to others.
A Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 7th, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave. Abbotsford, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the B.C. Children's Hospital.
