June 22, 1954 ~ July 11, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved mother, sister and friend, Trisha Karlson. Tragically, Trisha was killed in a car accident on July 11, 2009.
Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Trisha moved to Abbotsford with her family at the age of 11. After graduating, Trisha worked for the Royal Bank and CIBC and later as a travel agent at Marlin Travel, Ambassador Travel and most recently at Menno Travel. She was a valuable volunteer for the Cancer Society and served on the Board of the Abbotsford Community School. Her passion and involvement with Send Out Cards made all of us aware of the importance of staying connected with family and friends.
Trisha was the rock and foundation for her family and friends, always available to listen and help resolve problems. She also loved her dogs and spent many hours walking with them. Trisha was pre- deceased by her parents Jack and Ila O'Brien and sister Janine. She will be greatly missed by daughter Becky (Ashley) granddaughter Elenya, son Vincent, sisters Sharon Taylor (Gordon) and Janice Walsh (Mike), brother David O'Brien, nieces Karen Berry (Ken), (Deanna, Mason Ella), Vanessa Goolevitch (Ryan), nephews Ryan Taylor (Kristen), Derek & Clinton Walsh, and Wayne and Jennie Karlson.
Trisha worked tirelessly for the Canadian Cancer Society's "Relay for Life". In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Please join the family for a memorial service to celebrate Trisha's life on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Rd. at 2:00 pm.
Trisha will be ever in our hearts and forever missed. We will always love you!
