Okke VanderKamp

Born in Heidenskip, Friesland, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He leaves behind a loving wife of 54 years, Suster, 2 daughters, Frances Evenson (Allan), Ruth Hassard (Fred Clarke), grandchildren, Corry, Deserae, Jordan, Erin, Shawn, and great grandchildren Abbie, Aiden and Hayden.
Okke had a great love for gardening and visiting with numerous friends, too many to mention. His smile, warm handshake, and twinkle in his eye, greeted everyone. He was a man who worked hard all his life for his family; and anyone who needed a hand, he gave it willingly. Above all else he put his greatest value in the faith he had in his Lord and Savior who he is with today.
A celebration of Okke’s life will be held at Bethel Reformed Church, 3260 Gladwin Road Abbotsford, at 11:00am on Monday, November 10th, 2008
