Nick James Coft - on December 27, 2005 went to be with his Lord and Saviour in heaven. Born on May 21, 1936 in Brilliant, BC, Nick lived and worked in many communities across BC including Creston, Nanaimo, Trail, Penticton, Prince George, Surrey, Clearbrook, and Abbotsford since 1971. In early October, Nick was diagnosed with a brain tumor and fought his illness with the same passion, tenacity and vigor that was known of his character. Dad was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, he was a born leader, mentor, and teacher. He will be remembered for his generosity, creativity, vision, aggressiveness and determination, in all aspects of his life. Nick had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and was an avid sportsman and published writer that took him many places across the world. He was a loving family man, an exceptional sportsman, a formidable businessman and a generous friend. Predeceased by his son Kyle, Nick will be lovingly missed by his wife Miranda, his two sons Kirk (Linda) and Kevin (Caryn), and his grandchildren: Ryan, Scott, Caroline, Keith, Taylor and Caylee. Nick leaves behind his many friends and peers in the food industry. A celebration of his extraordinary life will be held at Christian Life Assembly in Langley on Saturday, January 14, 2005 at 1:00 pm. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
