Myrtle Annie (Mert or Myrt)
Born March 3, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, Myrtle passed away February 6, 2008, with her daughter at her side.
Mother of Jo-Anne (Doug) and Michael (Cynthia). Grandmother to Aaron (Maria), Phillip and Adam.
Life-long friend to sister-in-law Helen (Dolly) and Norm. Survived by sister Gladys, nephews Joseph (Carolyn) and Christopher and brother Delbert. Predeceased by husband Harry, brothers Charles, Robert and Thomas and sister Barbara.
Myrtle, a lifetime resident of Hamilton, Ontario, moved to Abbotsford, B.C in 2001 to be close to family here. A Memorial Service in Hamilton will be held in September.
Always spunky, she'll be remembered for her off-beat sense of humour and her determination to be independent.
