EVANS, Muriel Mary
March 28, 1927 - December 19, 2008
It is with a deep sadness that we
announce the passing of our Beloved wife, mother, sister, and Nana, Muriel Mary Evans (nee Erskine). Muriel was born in Vancouver and spent her formative years on Sea Island Richmond, settling in Abbotsford in the early 1970's. Muriel touched many lives with her quiet nature, and her witty sense of humor. Predeceased by infant son Jeffrey David, infant granddaughter Kaylee Ann Evans and brother Robert Erskine. Survived by her Beloved husband and friend of 61 years, Leonard Evans, her children James (Rene), Roy (Sherry), and Cathryn (Derek) Thomas, and brother Thomas(Elizabeth) Erskine. Also survived by her granddaughters Lola (fiancé, Cameron), Lacey, and Lauren. Muriel had lived with Parkinson's for the past several years, however succumbed to pancreatic cancer. Heartfelt thanks to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Palliative and Tertiary Unit and the Christine Morrison Hospice for their kind and gentle care. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, V2S 1M1, with a tea to follow. Mum will remain in our hearts forever as we know she is at peace after a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
