Mrs. Marie Marlene Atkinson late of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away on June 27, 2007 at the age of 68 years, at M.S.A. Hospital. She is survived by her husband Colin Atkinson; her sons Steven (Cathy) Atkinson and Kenneth Atkinson; her daughters Suzanne (Brian) O’Donnell, Samantha Biggerstaff, Joanne Jensen, and Wendy (Bruce) Nelson; 15 grandÂchildren – Anna Marie, David, April, Christopher, Jill, Laura, Stephanie, Julie, Adam, Dawson, Pacey, Preston, Matthew, Jason, and Brittany; and her Âsister Rita (Les) Southwicke from England. She was predeceased by her brothers Sid and Arthur Hampshire of England. Marie was an energetic, fun-loving spirit. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be sadly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on July 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Cascade Community Church 35190 Delair Rd., Abbotsford., with Pastor Martin Gouldthorpe officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association in Marie’s memory.
