Mrs. Gerritje (Gerrie) Wikkerink, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed into the presence of her Lord on Aug. 8, 2007 at the Ebenezer Home. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; seven children: John and Margaret Wikkerink, Martin and Glenda Wikkerink, Jenny DeJong, Gary and Kathy Wikkerink, Bill Wikkerink, Wilma Wikkerink, Andy and Betty-Ann Wikkerink; 19 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and extended Âfamily. She was preÂdeceased by their son Henry in 2003 and son-in-law George DeJong, Aug. 2, 2007.
Viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, Aug. 12, 7-9 pm. Burial is at 12:30 pm, Aug. 13 at Hazelwood Cemetery followed by a service at 2 pm at Immanuel Covenant Reformed Church, 35063 Page Rd., Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donations would be gratefully accepted for Ebenezer Home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ebenezer Home for their loving care and support, especially during the last weeks of Gerrie's life.
