Mrs. Christa Charlotte Sterzel peacefully passed away on January 4, 2005 at the age of 79 in Abbotsford. She was born on September 16, 1925 in Gorlitz, Germany.
Beloved mother of Margret (Eric) Becker Scales of Regina, SK, Anita (Herman) Lamprecht Billig of Germany, Christel (Ken) Eros of Abbotsford, BC, Frank (Debbie) Weber of Regina, SK, Siegfried Weber of Germany, Arno (Heidi) Weber of Germany, Evelyn (Phil) Stonecipher of Sedalia, MO, and their father Franz Weber of Abbotsford, BC. Dear grandmother to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Will also be missed by her brother Alexander Franz of Germany.
Christa immigrated to Canada in 1954 with her 4 small children and a child on its way. The early years were difficult but through her determination and strength she was able to make a good life for herself.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 11:00 am at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road (at Sumas Way), Abbotsford. Interment will follow at Maclure Road Cemetery.
