Mr. Ronald Edward (Ron) Wood was called home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 at the age of 58 years, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply and forever missed by his loving wife, RoseAnn, to whom he was Âmarried for 21 years, and their blended family: his son, Trevor (Predrag) or Vancouver, BC, her daughters: Michelle (Ron) Buller and Kim (Dan) Doucette, all of Vernon, BC, their grandchildren: Aimee, Wade, Elise, Autumn and Emma; one brother, Allan (Margaret) Wood of Surrey, BC and one nephew, Scott (Shannon) Wood of Victoria, BC. He was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Gladys Wood.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of Ron's Life which will be held at First Baptist Church, 1406 - 32nd Ave., Vernon, BC on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at 11:00 am with Rev. Awlwyn Balnave and Rev. Dave Penner officiating. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Ron to Hospice House, 3506 - 27th Ave., Vernon, BC V1T 1S4.
