Mr. Robert Edward Ayling late of Abbotsford, BC passed away peacefully on Aug 20, 2006 at MSA Hospital at the age of 73.
He is survived by Gertrude his wife of 45 years, children Karen (Steve) LaPointe of Penticton, Brian (Jenn) Ayling of Calgary, Sharon (Matt) Nelson of Arlington and 6 grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Bronwyn, Eli, Ben and Jamie.
Bob taught for 12 years in Medicine Hat, AB and in 1970 moved his young family to Abbotsford, BC where he continued his teaching and administrative career with School District #34 until his retirement in 1990. Bob was a dedicated and loving family man with a passion for music and teaching. Bob always found enjoyment in life. His kind heart and sharp wit will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug 25, 2006 at 2:00 pm from Trinity Lutheran Church at 3845 Gladwin Rd in Abbotsford and officiated by Rev. David Hilderman. The service will be preceded by a viewing time from 1 - 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
