Mildred "Millie" Roadhouse passed away peacefully on July 16, 2009. She was Predeceased by her husband Ercell in 1986; 3 brothers, Norman, Melvin, and Wilmar; 2 sisters Elvina and Adeline. Millie will be lovingly remembered by her children; Charles, Gale, Gary(Denise); 2 brothers Richard and Arvid; 3 sister's in law, Phyllis, Mary and Marlene; 5 grand daughters Jaclyn, Allissa, Breanna, Amber, and Sarah. "Gigi" will also be missed by her 6 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was born at Wilson Creek, Ontario. She attended the one room schoolhouse where she and her seven siblings made up the majority of the school population. Eventually she moved to Vancouver, BC where in 1955 she met and married her husband Ercell. The couple moved to Victoria where their three children were born. Ercell's Navy career took the family to Germany where they lived for three years. Mildred enjoyed traveling and exploring Europe during the years spent there. Upon their return to Canada, they settled in Mission, BC. Mildred spent much of her spare time bowling, going for walks, bird watching, and shopping for her grand children and great grandchildren. She was devoted to her family, never missing an opportunity to attend birthdays, Christmas, family gatherings, graduation ceremonies, and she looked forward to her yearly trip back to Ontario to spend time with her siblings and other relatives. She will always be loved and dearly missed by all that knew her.

A service was held on July 23, 2009 at the Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home. The family would like to thank all those that offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. A special thank you to Aunt Mary and Pastor Boerner for their care and guidance
