Mildred Irene Broughton passed into the presence of her Lord on March 12, 2004 at MSA Hospital at the age of 82 years. Irene was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Mildred, brother George and brother Lance and his wife Ruth.
She is survived by and lovingly remembered by her brother Lorne (Lorraine); sister-in-law Joan as well as 10 nephews and nieces and many great nephews and nieces.
Before her retirement Irene was employed by the Vancouver School Board. Over several decades she was an active member of the Tenth Avenue Alliance Church in Vancouver and Sevenoaks Alliance Church in Abbotsford. Throughout her adult life she was actively interested in and supportive of foreign missions.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Far East Broadcasting Associates - Russian Ministries or to Christian and Missionary Alliance Global Advance Fund.
