Wigelsworth, Maurice
Maurice Wigelsworth passed away into the presence of his Lord after a long illness on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the MSA Cottage, Abbotsford, BC. Maurice was 88 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Hazel; his son Robert (Linda), daughters Bonnie (Ian) and Christa (Bruce). He has (4) grandchildren Jeffrey, Craig, Brett and Lauren; (2) great grandchildren Daniel and James; sister Mary Anderson of Edmonton, AB and brother Allen Wigelsworth of Penticton, BC. He was predeceased by his parents, (1) sister and (4) brothers. Maurice was born April 21, 1921, in Edmonton, AB. He joined the RCAF in 1941 and was a wireless operator with 419 Squadron during WWII. He worked most of his career in the oil industry but when not working loved to fish and curl. A memorial service will be held at Mount Lehman United Church located at 6256 Mount Lehman Road, Abbotsford, BC on Friday, June 19, 2009 @ 1 pm. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends in the surrounding community and abroad. The family would like to thank all the staff and nurses at The Cottage for all their dedicated care.
