MCALLISTER, MARY (MYRTLE)
Sept 18. 1929 - June 7, 2010
Myrtle passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on June 7th in Kelowna, BC. Myrtle was born in Belfast, N. Ireland, second child of Robert and Rebecca McKeown. In 1949 she married her true love Tom Davis. They spent twenty two wonderful years together and raised two children. Tom Passed away in 1971 and Myrtle remarried Tom McAllister in 1974. The following year they immigrated to Canada, living in Vancouver’s West End, Coquitlam, Abbotsford and finally Kelowna. Myrtle is survived by her husband Tom, her children, Trevor (Taysha), Sharman (William), fifteen grandchildren, Gabrielle, Trevor, Josh, Caleb, Elijah, Matti, Kieran, David, Hannah, Patrick, Riley, Emma, Jack, Gillian and Aidan, and nine great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her faithfulness, her ability to see the best in others and the encouragement she would always share with those around her. She will be sadly missed by all the family and fondly remembered by the staff at “The Village” in Kelowna where she resided. Burial service will be held at Hatzic Cemetery at 2:00PM on Saturday June 19th followed by a celebration of life at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 8469 Cedar street Mission at 3:00 PM.
