Mary Duff (Marie Blondina Baert), born March 14, 1906 in Mendonck, Belgium, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 in Mission, BC.

It is with sadness we announce the death of Mary, who was predeceased by her husband William Charles, brothers Andrew and John; and sisters Val and Lucille. She also had numerous dear relatives in Belgium, Winnipeg and Minnesota. Mary will be forever remembered for her constant support, devotion and love for her family, her love of animals and nature, her great sense of humour, kind, gentle spirit and her positive outlook on life.

Mary’s family wishes to extend deep appreciation to her friends at Pleasant View Apartments for their kindness and consideration over the years, and to nursing and other staff of both Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge (3 West Wing) and the Mission Memorial Hospital. The compassion and tender care shown by all staff to Mary in her final days at both of these facilities was extraordinary.
