Margaret Watt, 94 years old and a long-time resident of the Abbotsford area, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve at the Abbotsford Holmberg House. Born in 1922 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Margaret immigrated to Canada in 1966 with her late husband David George Lowry Watt. Early in her life Margaret had a passion for nursing and was employed in the health field. She was an avid shuffleboard player and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Abbotsford Friendship House. Margaret is survived by her sister Helen Russell of Belfast, her seven children: Molly Webb of Cambridge, England, Jean Hosking of Abbotsford, Helen Lockhart of Abbotsford, Margaret Batson of Waterloo, David Watt of Orangeville, Betty Caesar of North Vancouver, Noel Watt of Belfast; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A private family ceremony will take place to rest her ashes with her late husband in Burnaby, BC. On behalf of the family we would like to thank the excellent care she was given by the staff at the Holmberg House.
