Margaret (Rita) M. Thompson, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed away July 7, 2007 at the age of 81 at the MSA Hospital. Her Âsister Christine and nephew Gordon and his wife Vicki were with her at her peaceful passing.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1982, parents Harold and Jean Laughton, Ânephew Robert Lamb, and Âbrother-in-law George Lamb.
She is survived by sisters Norma (Chris) Main, Christine Lamb, Jeanette (Jim) Hoskins; Âbrother Donald (Donna) Laughton; Ânephews Gordon and David; nieces Debbie, Joanne, Sarah and Beth; grand and great grand nephews and nieces and Âcousins.
Her family wish to thank the medical and nursing staff at MSA Hospital for their dedicated compassionate care of Margaret and also to express special appreciation to Valley Home Support, Meals on Wheels and her friends at Bakerview Co-op.
There will be no funeral service at her request. Cremation, interment at Hazelwood Cemetery at a later date. No flowers, donations will be appreciated to the MSA Hospital Equipment Fund, c/o Abbotsford Community Foundation, #204, 2890 Garden St., Abbotsford, BC, V2T 4W7.
