PETRONI, MARGARET
With much sorrow, we announce the passing of Margaret R. Petroni on Friday, June 4, 2010. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Elsie and John Peterson, and her nephew, Johnny Petroni. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 60 years, Frank, brother Ralph, sister-in-law Arlene, nieces Joanne (Laurie), Kathy, Diane and Karen; great-nephew Tyler, great-niece Chelsea, and relatives and friends in Finland, Sweden, and Canada.
Margaret was born in Finland and came to Vancouver as a young child. Margaret and Frank moved to Kamloops in 1949 where they raised their niece, Joanne, and nephew, Johnny. In recent years, Margaret resided at the Menno Hospital in Abbotsford.
Margaret enjoyed time spent visiting with family and friends, shopping, painting, doing crafts and baking. She had a love of the outdoors and a special place in her heart for animals.
The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff of the Menno Hospital for their loving care of Margaret. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10th from 7 - 8:30 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road in Abbotsford. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 11th at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 2 o'clock p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of BC.
