Margaret (nee Hooge) Janzen

Our mother, Margaret Janzen, born December 27, 1923, passed away into the presence of her Lord on Friday, June 2nd, 2017. Mom accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour in Germany in 1946 and was later baptized in the Arnold MB Church. Mom was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Canada with Dad in 1948, settling first in Arnold, BC and moving to Vancouver in 1956. Mom was active in volunteering at the MCC stores and enjoyed traveling with Dad. After moving to Abbotsford, Margaret enjoyed many years living in Evergreen Village before moving to Tabor Court in 2010 and finally into Tabor Home in 2016. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Victor, in 2007. Mom leaves to mourn her children: Edith Klippenstein, Ettie Janzen, and Harry (Josley) Janzen, as well as 6 grandchildren: Lynda (Kevan) Reeve, Janine (Hugh) Mitenko, Doug (Stephanie) Klippenstein, Jodie (Kelly) Kim, Roxie (Derek) Rogalsky, Brad (Nicole) Janzen, plus 8 great grandsons: Aric Reeve, Max Mitenko, Ben Mitenko, Sam Mitenko, Tristan Kim, Gabriel Rogalsky, Owen Rogalsky, and Ryder Janzen. We would like to thank Tabor Village for their care of Mom in her final years. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11:00 in the Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to MCC.
