Magdolna Csaszar

July 1, 1938 - August 12, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Magdolna Csaszar, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She is predeceased by her grandson, Jozsef Csaszar and all of her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Julius, her son, Nick (Angela), her grandchildren, Daniel and Julianna Csaszar, her sister in law, Clara and niece, Clara (Tony) Parsons, and nephew Michael (Agi) Ominger; as well as several nieces and nephews in Hungary. Magda was born in Kony, Hungary and was the youngest of nine children. At the age of 18, she immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her sister and brother and settled in Calgary, Alberta. She later moved to BC to marry and have one son. She settled in Mission with her family, and opened the Mission Delicatessen. Many will remember her as the 'Candy Lady' as she always had a treat for children at the deli. Magda was an amazing cook, and loving person always wanting to feed you. She was happiest caring for her friends and grandchildren, and of course, her garden. Her service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, 11:00 at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission, BC.
