Lyda Phyllis (nee McPhail) who was born on August 23, 1913 was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 16, 2006. Phyllis is survived by two daughters Anne of Chile and Merrilee (John) Tognela of Nanaimo; four sons Mel (Jacquie), Barry, Wayne (Eda) and Murray; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two sister Wilma Leenders and Beryl McPhail. Phyllis was predeceased by Sydney, her husband of 58 years. She was born in Abbotsford and spent her married life in Vancouver until 1974 when they moved to Langley. Phyllis had a caring heart for all. She loved to bake and over the last few years her love of gardening was displayed at Hilltop Manor. A Memorial Service will be held at Langley Gospel Hall, 22096 – 48th Avenue on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place prior to the Memorial Service at Musselwhite Cemetery in Abbotsford. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 & 4 South at Langley Memorial Hospital as well as the extended care staff for their care and concern over the last few months.
