Louise JANZEN

September 8, 2005

Louise Janzen peacefully went to be with her Lord on September 8th, 2005 at the M.S.A. Hospital in Abbotsford, B.C.

Louise was born on March 25, 1929 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, the second oldest child of Rev. Henry and Tina Regehr. She grew up in a warm, loving family of four girls and one boy. Her childhood and teen years were enjoyable. Louise loved school and sports and would have rather been playing ball, swimming and skating than to be inside playing with dolls. From her earliest years she became an ardent reader.

Louise accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour in her early teens and was baptized on the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ joining the Foam Lake M.B. Church. The family moved to Steinbach, Manitoba in 1948. It was in Manitoba she met the love of her life, Helmut Janzen. They were married August 22, 1954. Louise’s desire was fulfilled because she had always dreamed of marrying and having a family, having given birth to 4 wonderful children. She was a loving caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was so proud of them all and left a lasting Christian legacy by her exemplary walk with God, daily Bible reading, prayer and loving service.

Louise is lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years and her 4 children Rhoda (Karl) Neufeld, Winnipeg, MB., Wes (Kim) Janzen, Langley, B.C., Kathy (Scot) McLellan, Chilliwack, B.C., and Rod (Lynda ) Olathe, Kansas.

She will be missed by grandchildren Ben (Ingrid), 2 great grandsons Asher and Cole, Joel, Andrew, Kristina, Johnny, Christopher, Adrienne (Boyd), Carissa (Jason), Lauren, Jared, sisters Katie, Esther, Wilma and brother Edward.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 7:00 — 8:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from Maclure Rd. Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. from Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Rd.

In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to Louise Janzen Memorial Scholarship for Christian Music Ministry to: c/o Darlene Heriot, Trinity Western University, 7600 Glover Rd., Langley, BC R3A 6H4.
