Louise passed away on March 18, 2008 at the age of 99. She was born in Russia on June 1, 1908 and emigrated to Canada with her family in 1924. The family pioneered in Northern Alberta. In 1942 they moved to the Fraser Valley and resided here ever since.
Louise was a resourceful woman, running a small farm with her children, while her husband worked away from home as a steam fitter. Her favorite pastimes were fishing on the banks of the Fraser River and sewing blankets at the M.C.C.
Louise is survived by 3 children; Alice (Alfred), William (Anne) and Amanda. 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, John, one son, Walter and one grandchild, David.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 25, 2008. A memorial service to follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Azalea room at the Garden Park Tower, 101-2825 Clearbrook Road.
