It is with great sorrow that the family of Lloyd Chesley Hopper announce his passing at the age of 98 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Jessie, great-grandson Joseph Vreeland, son-in-law Gordon St. Jean and grandson-in-law Tom Barchuk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Olive, his 3 children Rod (Linda), Marilyn (Ray) and Sandi. As well as 7 grandchildren (2 step-grandchildren), 12 great-grandchildren (5 step-great-grandchildren), and one great-great-grandson.
Lloyd was born in Moose Jaw, Sask and grew up in New Brunswick.
Lloyd served in WW2 followed by a very successful career in BC Provincial Corrections and retired as Regional Director. He was instrumental in the construction of the Stave Falls, Boulder Bay and Porteau Cove Camps.
Lloyd became the Master of the Masonic Lodge in Maple Ridge in 1977. He was an avid member of the Abbotsford Kiwanis Club and Royal Canadian Legion.
Lloyd and Olive enjoyed many years boating, travelling, playing crib and spending time with their family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
