Lijntje “Lynn”
Her most fervent prayer has been answered. Lynn was called home by her Lord on March 25, 2007. She was born July 14, 1907 in Klundert, The Netherlands.
She is loved and sadly missed by her sons Jack (Darlene), and Victor (Thelma); 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by special family members Eunice Haverland, and Bob and Gwen Early.
Lynn was predeceased by her husband Adrian, daughter Els, and son Herb.
In 1949 she emigrated with her family to Canada, making fond memories and lifelong friendships while living in Dalemead, Wolf Creek, and Edson, AB, and in Abbotsford, BC. Since 1995 she had been living at Ebenezer Home where she continued to enjoy family and friends. Both Lynn and Adrian had adventurous spirits and always encouraged their grandchildren to travel and broaden their horizons.
A service of remembrance will be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Abbotsford on Tuesday, April 3 at 11:00 am with Pastor Sid Couperus officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date. Donations may be made to the Life Recovery Association, 2693 Braedside Street, Abbotsford, BC V2T 5R2 or to a charity of choice in Lynn’s memory.
