Mrs. Liela Jean Hastie, late of Abbotsford, BC, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the age of 85 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Veronica (Ross) Spenard; daughter-in-law, Sandra (Hastie) Hamel; grandsons, Ryan (Serita) Spenard and Shaun (Deanne) Spenard; granddaughter, Tiffany Spenard; great grandchildren, Riley and Morgan, Piper and Wyatt; sister, Maureen Laberge; nephews and nieces and their families. She was predeceased by her son, Mark Hastie; sister, Dorothy Taylor; and brothers-in-law Maurice Taylor and George Laberge. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:30 pm at St. Matthews Church (meeting at Grace Church), 2087 McMillan Road, Abbotsford, BC with Rev. Mike Stewart officiating.
